VTrans seeks buyer for historic Burlington-Winooski Bridge replacement project
What happened
The Vermont Agency of Transportation is managing the replacement of the century-old Burlington-Winooski Bridge, which was constructed in 1928. As part of this project, VTrans is seeking a new owner for the structure. Because the replacement is partially funded by federal dollars, VTrans is required to make a good faith effort to find a buyer who wishes to preserve the bridge.
