What happened
Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev launched the construction of an industrial park in the Zhambyl region dedicated to the deep processing of corn. The project is being led by Fufeng Group, a company recognized as a global leader in biofermentation. The initial phase requires an investment of $350 million and can process up to 500,000 tons of corn annually. Future expansion to the second stage is planned, which would raise the annual capacity to 3 million tons of corn and require an additional $1.15 billion investment.
