Seed Company Beck's Introduces AI Tool and Advanced Yield Research

Beck's, a seed company, announced SeedIQ, a new digital tool for farmers designed to provide customized hybrid recommendations. This tool uses artificial intelligence to analyze over 16 million annual data points based on field location and management practices. Scott Beck, president of Beck's, also detailed research showing that hybrid yield is influenced by either high kernel count or larger kernel size, and by root architecture.

The introduction of SeedIQ offers farmers a new method for optimizing planting decisions using large-scale agricultural data. The research findings provide specific guidance on how different management practices, such as early nitrogen application or late-season fungicide use, impact yield potential based on the hybrid type.
