Firefly Aerospace Expands Cleanroom Capacity in Cedar Park, Texas

Firefly Aerospace completed a new cleanroom facility at its 144,000-square-foot campus in Cedar Park, Texas. This new cleanroom is four times the size of the company’s existing cleanroom. The combined facilities enable a dedicated assembly line capable of supporting up to 12 lunar landers and orbital vehicles simultaneously, increasing manufacturing throughput.

The expansion allows Firefly Aerospace to scale its spacecraft manufacturing capabilities to meet growing demand for in-space services. The company noted that it currently has five additional lunar missions under contract, and the new infrastructure supports this increased mission cadence.
