SSEL Ships First EHV Power Transformer to U.S., Targets International Growth

Shirdi Sai Electricals Limited (SSEL) successfully shipped its first extra-high voltage (EHV) power transformer, a 175 MVA, 345 kV unit, to the United States. The shipment originated from the company’s Naini manufacturing facility in Prayagraj. SSEL stated that the company is currently working on gaining approval to expand into the European market for both power and distribution transformers. The company also outlined targets of exporting between ₹500 crore and ₹600 crore over the next 12 to 18 months from the Naini plant.

The successful dispatch of the 175 MVA transformer validates SSEL's capability to handle large-scale assignments in international markets. The company stated that this milestone provides a strong foundation for scaling its international business and diversifying its revenue streams amid global investments in grid expansion and renewable integration.
