A homeowner has raised concerns regarding a property purchased from New Era Developments at Port Ridge Estate in St Catherine. Assessments into the structural integrity of the home were conducted, including core sampling and compressive strength testing. The final test results, shared with New Era on July 21, 2025, indicated that three of four samples met 70% of the generally accepted threshold of 2100 psi. However, one sample taken from the washroom measured only 1128 psi, which is below the acceptable minimum.

The findings suggest potential structural deficiencies in the homes sold by New Era Developments. The complainant reports that repeated follow-up attempts have been made but no clear response has been received from New Era regarding remedial action.
