Vineyard Plans Major Mixed-Use Retail District on Former Steel Mill Site
What happened
The city of Vineyard has released plans for a mixed-use retail district called “Broad Street,” which will be built on the site of the old Geneva Steel mill. The 250,000 square foot commercial space is planned to feature dining, fashion, entertainment, a hotel, office, and residential units. Odyssey was contracted by Vineyard to help plan the area, and construction is expected to start in 2027.

The project represents a major transformation of 700 acres of undeveloped land into a commercial hub. The vision is for the district to be walkable, connecting the FrontRunner station to Utah Lake. The development is being benchmarked against Hudson Yards in New York.
