Former Mondelez Executive Joins Barry Callebaut Leadership

Zakaria Dahkoun, who previously held sourcing leadership roles at Mondelez International, moved to Barry Callebaut. Dahkoun was recently promoted to chief procurement officer at Mondelez International, where he is managing procurement amid cocoa sourcing volatility. He replaced Thomas Gaengler, who joined Barry Callebaut as chief operating officer earlier this month.

Dahkoun's background includes end-to-end procurement across diverse categories, particularly for cocoa, a key input for both companies. Luca Zaramella, EVP and COO at Mondelez International, stated that the supply and demand situation for cocoa is currently in a much better state.
