£13.3m Funding Announced for Clean Heat and Power Infrastructure in England

A funding scheme has been announced providing a share of £13.3 million to public and private sector housing providers. This capital grant funding supports various heat network efficiency improvements for over 2,300 homes across England and Wales. Separately, £1.15 million is being contributed to organizations conducting studies into potential heat network inefficiencies affecting 7,000 residents.

The initiative aims to help communities benefit from clean power and heat by building necessary infrastructure. The funding is intended to enable housing providers to achieve annual carbon emissions savings of over 29,000 tonnes per year. The government stated the program supports job creation, energy security, and lower bills for residents.
