What happened
Seminoe Power Company is moving closer to constructing the Miller Generating Station, a natural gas power plant proposed in 2025 south of Sinclair. The facility is intended to supplement the Chokecherry Sierra Madre wind project and meet rising energy needs, including demand from AI data centers. The plant will occupy approximately 70 acres of private land owned by Overland Trail Ranch.
