CryoSpray™ Trial Demonstrates Effectiveness for Moderate-to-Severe COPD

The pivotal SPRAY-CB trial evaluating Metered CryoSpray™ (MCS) therapy with the RejuvenAir® System has published its results in the American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine. The trial was a randomized, blinded, sham-controlled study conducted in the United States and the United Kingdom. At 12 months, MCS-treated patients showed a statistically significant improvement in both the St. George's Respiratory Questionnaire (SGRQ) score and the COPD Assessment Test (CAT) score compared with control.

The study enrolled 210 patients with moderate-to-severe COPD and symptomatic chronic bronchitis. The findings showed a 5.9-point greater improvement in SGRQ scores and a 3.4-point greater improvement in CAT scores compared to the control group. These improvements exceeded the established thresholds for a clinically meaningful treatment benefit.
