Lviv Forum Addresses Water Infrastructure Recovery and Reconstruction Needs

The 11th Lviv Eco Forum took place in Lviv, gathering nearly 400 representatives from water utilities, municipalities, government institutions, international organizations, and technology companies. Participants discussed how to keep essential water services running amid Russian attacks and power disruptions while preparing for long-term reconstruction. The forum also covered financial sustainability, tariff policy, and the use of European technologies for wastewater treatment and reducing water losses.

The discussions highlighted the dual challenge facing Ukraine’s water sector: maintaining operations during wartime emergencies while simultaneously planning infrastructure modernization. The agenda specifically addressed the need for investment, public-private partnerships, and integrating European standards into utility management.
