Fogo and Brava Association Seeks Dialogue on Maritime Connection Solutions
What happened
The Association of Municipalities of Fogo and Brava is seeking dialogue with the government to find common solutions for maritime connections between Fogo and Brava. The Association aims to avoid duplicating efforts and resources in the region. Although a feasibility study from March 2025 showed the viability of a maritime connection between the two islands and to tourist markets, the Intermunicipal Assembly decided to discuss the solution with the government before proceeding with a new company.
