What happened
Border controls between Poland and Lithuania remain in place. Polish Minister of the Interior and Administration Marcin Kerwiński announced this at a joint press conference with Lithuanian Interior Minister Martynas Katelinas. The controls, which were introduced in July 2025, have been extended for another six months. Kerwiński stated there is no timeline for when they will be lifted, only when compelling reasons exist to do so.
