New Study Shows Consumer Preference Shift to Plant-Based Proteins
What happened
A study published in Frontiers in Sustainable Food Systems created the BPI Score, a rating system that evaluates 20 popular high-protein foods based on a People Score and a Planet Score. The results showed that plant-based proteins were generally ranked highly, while animal-based proteins were mostly ranked low. Tofu scored the highest on the scale, achieving 36 out of 40 points.
