CCM Produces Refined Antimony Metal from British Columbia Project
What happened
CCM announced it successfully produced physical antimony metal from concentrate generated at its New Polaris gold-antimony project in northwest British Columbia. Refining test work, conducted at Core Metallurgy Pty Ltd.'s laboratory in Australia, used an alkaline sulphide leach followed by electrowinning. This process achieved 99.7% antimony leach extraction and yielded antimony metal grading greater than 99% Sb.
