CGD Analysis Finds UK Aid to Malawi Helped Over 3 Million People Since 2009
What happened
The Center for Global Development (CGD) released findings regarding UK aid to Malawi. The analysis showed that the £1.6 billion of UK support since 2009 provided essential healthcare to more than three million people and helped prevent more than two million unintended pregnancies over 15 years. The UK is concurrently scaling back this aid dramatically, planning to reduce it from £50m in 2024-25 to £5m by 2028-29.
