Iran reports daily petrol shortfall amid US naval blockade

Jafar Ghaderi, a member of the Iranian parliament’s Economic Commission, stated that the Islamic Republic of Iran faces a daily petrol shortfall of 15 to 20 million litres. He confirmed that the US naval blockade has disrupted the flow of imports into Iran. Prior to the restrictions, about 83% of imports entered the country through southern maritime routes.
