The FCCI President, Farooq Yousaf Sheikh, welcomed the private sector management of the Cargo Express service, which is planned to operate between Karachi and Rawalpindi/Peshawar (Trains 505 Up and 506 Down). The request is aimed at allowing local businesses to benefit from a faster rail-based freight service. The pre-bid meeting for the service is scheduled for October 15, with the application deadline set for October 22.
