Why it matters
Chee Hong Tat, who is also Deputy Chairman of the Monetary Authority of Singapore, said the country’s economic fundamentals remain sound despite a more challenging global environment. The programme has broadened participation beyond the largest companies, enabling more small and mid-cap stocks to absorb institutional investment flows.
Singapore recently announced several government appointments, including Vivian Balakrishnan, Lawrence Wong, and Chee Hong Tat.
