North Tonawanda City Plans to Convert Norman Keller Building into Community Hub

The City of North Tonawanda is considering a plan to transform the city-owned Norman Keller Building into a centralized community center. The project involves renovating the structure to add space for senior, youth, and community programs, as well as municipal services. The estimated cost for the project is between $15 million and $18 million, and the city plans to present this as a ballot measure to voters in November.

The city is actively seeking state, county, and outside funding to help finance the project and reduce reliance on local borrowing. The building currently houses the city’s Parks and Recreation Department and other municipal services, meaning the project would consolidate several services under one roof.
