What happened
Civic activists have raised objections to ongoing construction by South Western Railway (SWR) in Vontikoppal, Mysuru. The SWR has reportedly resumed work on a multi-storey building, residential complex, indoor stadium, and auditorium adjacent to two schools. The Mysore Grahakara Parishat (MGP) alleges that SWR is violating state laws and misusing Section 11 of the Railways Act by proceeding with the construction.
