A multiyear legal dispute between father and son real estate developers has concluded with a settlement, according to officials involved in the matter. Regional real estate developer Scott Burman and principals of B2K Development, including his father, Jan Burman, reached the agreement regarding lawsuits filed in Nassau and Manhattan supreme courts. The lawsuits began in 2023, with Scott Burman seeking $14 million over allegations of exclusion from B2K Development's formation. The terms of the settlement were not disclosed.

The dispute centered on B2K Development, which was founded in 2022 by former principals of the Engel Burman Group. This group was responsible for many of the upscale Bristal Assisted Living communities in Long Island. The resolution impacts the ongoing operations within the assisted living and rental communities of the region.
