Government Highlights Tech Adoption Aid for Small Businesses

President Marcos inspected the Nuvali Steel Processing Center, Inc. in Laguna, which has received assistance through the Department of Science and Technology’s Small Enterprise Technology Upgrading Program since 2023. The assistance allowed the manufacturer to acquire arc-welding robots, which improved its productivity, quality, and workplace safety. Marcos noted the cooperation between the government and the private sector to help businesses reach state-of-the-art standards.

The government is providing aid and promoting technology adoption for micro, small, and medium enterprises, a sector that contributes significantly to the country’s employment. This initiative aims to help local manufacturers meet international standards and reduce the need for imports.
