Business Groups Applaud Government Steps to Boost Competitiveness and Investment Climate

Business leaders from the Western Business Coalition met in Ottawa to thank the government for its progress in improving Canada's competitiveness. The coalition, which includes leaders from the Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce, the Business Council of British Columbia, and the Business Council of Alberta, praised the direction Mark Carney was taking. They specifically welcomed the introduction of Bill C-39, the Build Canada Strong Act, noting it aimed to address slow project approvals and labour instability affecting critical supply chains.

The praise focused on the government's efforts to improve the overall investment climate and business environment in Canada. The introduction of Bill C-39 was seen as a direct attempt to remove long-standing barriers to prosperity for Canadian businesses.
