Qatar invests in data infrastructure projects in Indonesia and Maldives
What happened
Qatar's Minister of Commerce and Industry, H E Sheikh Faisal bin Thani Al-Thani, stated that Qatar is investing in data infrastructure to strengthen its economy and attract foreign companies. He noted that Qatar’s national data-centre champion, Sintes, is involved in data-centre projects in the Maldives and Indonesia. These facilities utilized Chinese and American technology, respectively.
