ASCAP Appoints Jackson Wagener to Senior VP Role

The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) announced that Jackson Wagener has been named senior VP and head of general licensing, a role effective January 1, 2027. In this capacity, Wagener reports to Stephanie Ruyle, ASCAP’s executive VP and head of licensing. He brings his deep legal expertise, gained from his education at Columbia Law School, to the organization.

Wagener will be responsible for pioneering innovative licensing solutions to help businesses utilize music while ensuring songwriters are fairly compensated. His role involves managing ASCAP’s nationwide copyright infringement litigation program against general licensing, broadcast, television, and the internet.
