What happened
Attorney General Kathy Jennings announced that a lawsuit successfully defended Head Start programs in Delaware against attempts by the Trump Administration to defund them. On September 21, a court granted summary judgment in favor of Jennings and her plaintiffs, blocking the Administration from implementing rule changes to the 1996 Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act (PRWORA). These changes would have resulted in the loss of critical childcare, healthcare, and educational services for vulnerable populations in Delaware.
