Kazakhstan Launches Satellite Mobile Connectivity Using Starlink Technology
What happened
Kazakhstan has launched a satellite mobile connectivity service using Direct to Cell technology, with the support of the Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development. The service is a joint introduction with Starlink Mobile and allows users to access selected communication services on smartphones outside the coverage of terrestrial mobile networks. This rollout follows agreements reached during President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s official visit to the United States in 2025.
