Kuwait Introduces New Commercial Activities and Manufacturing Oversight Structure

Kuwait introduced seven new commercial activities through Ministerial Resolution No. 184 of 2026, aimed at expanding the country’s economic framework. These activities include sea taxi services, marine training, and floating recreational activities. The Ministry of Interior’s General Directorate of Coast Guard will oversee the six maritime activities, while the Public Authority for Industry will supervise the manufacturing activity involving automated movable shading systems from aluminum and tensioned fabrics.

The resolution formally approved the new commercial activities, which are available under the unified guide for economic activities in the GCC countries. This structure establishes a new regulatory and operational framework for specialized marine and manufacturing ventures within Kuwait.
