Court names executor of multi-billion-shilling estate in Kenya

The Environment and Lands Court in Eldoret named Eunita Kibor as the sole executor of a vast estate, estimated at over Ksh3 billion, alongside Kibor’s former lawyer, Jonah Bundotich. The ruling dismissed a legal challenge brought by more than 16 children who alleged the stepmother used a forged will and unlawfully seized assets, including the 320-acre Mafuta Farm in Uasin Gishu County. The judge noted that legal procedure requires the official complainant to be the legal executor if forged documents are involved.

The ruling resolves a major legal dispute over high-value commercial and agricultural property. By establishing the legal status of the estate and its assets, the decision provides clarity regarding ownership and control of the multi-billion-shilling wealth. The dispute centered on a high-value commercial building in Eldoret City and the Mafuta Farm in Uasin Gishu County.
