Miamisburg City Schools seeks 0.5% income tax levy to address deficit

Miamisburg City Schools is seeking a 0.5% income tax levy on the November ballot, which would generate nearly $7 million annually for the district. The district reported that it spent more money than it brought in last year, a trend expected to continue for at least the next four school years. To address the deficit, the district plans to cut over $3 million, including reductions in supplies and services and retirement replacements.
