What happened
Morocco and India held the sixth meeting of their joint working group on water resources in New Delhi between September 22 and September 26, 2026. The two countries reaffirmed their commitment to sharing experience and expertise under a memorandum of understanding signed in December 2017. The Moroccan delegation presented its experience in dam management, groundwater resources, and flood and drought prevention, drawing on its work in the Moulouya river basin. The Indian delegation shared its expertise in modernizing irrigation systems and capacity-building programs in the water sector.
