India Highlights Economic Emergence and Commitment to Global South Aid

India's External Affairs Minister stated that the country has emerged as one of the world's major economies, noting that its GDP has more than doubled and growth remains robust. The Minister explained that India's capacity to contribute to global growth is supported by a large, skilled human resource base, a growing market, and strong digital infrastructure. This engagement reflects a commitment to shared prosperity and solidarity with the Global South.

India detailed its willingness to assist with development programs in the Caribbean and provide medicine to Latin American countries. This support was demonstrated through aid provided during the recent earthquake in Venezuela and during Hurricane Melissa, which impacted Jamaica.
