Nigerian Navy Debunks Fake Recruitment Notice Circulating on Social Media

The Nigerian Navy has stated that a recruitment notice circulating on social media platforms, purportedly announcing the 2026 Batch 39 exercise, is not official. Director of Information, Captain Abiodun Folorunsho, announced that the notice is not an authorized publication and advises the public to exercise caution regarding information from unofficial accounts and websites. The Navy warned applicants against making payments to individuals, agents, or unauthorized platforms, noting the exercise is free of charge.

The Navy emphasized that official information regarding recruitment procedures, timelines, and eligibility criteria would only be communicated through authorized Nigerian Navy channels. The debunking addresses potential scams and maintains the integrity of the service's application process.
