What happened
The Kano State Multi-Agency Task Force on Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking issued a warning to tricycle owners regarding organized crime in the state. The chairman of the Task Force, Muhuyi Magaji Rimin Gado, stated that the warning concerned a phone-snatching syndicate known as Yan Liya. The group reportedly uses commercial tricycles, popularly known as Adaidaita Sahu or Keke Napep, for theft across the state.
