Planning Body Reviews Major Housing Scheme Appeal in Flintshire, Ewloe

Planning and Environment Decisions Wales is reviewing an appeal concerning a major housing scheme in Flintshire, specifically in Ewloe. The appeal was lodged by Castle Green Homes regarding the refusal of 276 homes, including 110 affordable properties, on land at Holywell Road and Green Lane. The original plan faced opposition due to concerns that the development density of 40 homes per hectare was significantly higher than Flintshire’s upper limit of 30 homes. Local representatives formally objected to the appeal, urging the body to examine concerns raised by residents regarding the grouping of social housing.
