PrismML optimizes 1-bit AI models for Qualcomm smart glasses

PrismML announced a new 1-bit Bonsai model, a 2-billion-parameter vision-language model designed for smart glasses powered by Qualcomm Technologies’ Snapdragon platforms. PrismML worked with Qualcomm Technologies to optimize the model’s weights and architecture specifically for the Qualcomm® Hexagon™ NPU. This optimization allows the model to fit four times more parameters within the same memory constraints as previously possible.

The optimization is particularly important for smart glasses, which must operate within extremely tight limits on memory, power, and thermal headroom. By enabling powerful intelligence directly on the device, this advancement helps facilitate real-time visual and language abilities for Personal AI experiences.
