Allegations of Influence Peddling Regarding Road Widening in Madhya Pradesh

A dispute has emerged in Jaisingpura, regarding a proposed 40-foot road widening project in Bajrang Colony, Madhya Pradesh. Pragatisheel Mahila Suraksha Sangh submitted a memorandum alleging that the alignment of the road was being changed to benefit private interests. The organization claimed that relatives of Chief Minister Mohan Yadav were using their influence to facilitate the project, which was intended to provide access to a luxury hotel lot purchased by them.

The memorandum was submitted to the collector, divisional commissioner, Zone Number 3, and municipal commissioner. The project is reportedly affecting the homes of thousands of residents of the 56 Vanshi Samaj and the ancient site of Chhappan Bhagwan Takshak Nag Maharaj. The allegations cite a previous High Court direction regarding construction limits near the Kshipra river ghat.
