DuBois City Officials Address Errors on Current Water Bills

DuBois city officials are addressing errors that appeared on some water bills issued this month, according to Mayor Barry Abbott. The city confirmed that staff discovered the problem after residents received bills containing incorrect meter readings. The city did not revert to its former billing system; customers are currently billed under a rate structure that increased for both former city and former township residents.

The billing issues prompted questions about how water customers are being billed following the consolidation of DuBois and Sandy Township. Director Scott Farrell stated that the current system is expected to remain in place despite the discovered errors.
