Space Systems Command Awards Boeing Up to $2 Billion for MUOS Satellites
What happened
Space Systems Command announced that it awarded Boeing up to $2 billion in June for two additional Mobile User Objective System satellites. These satellites are the sixth and seventh in a constellation whose first five were launched between 2012 and 2016. The new pair is expected to launch before 2031 and 2032, extending the network into the mid-2030s.
