What happened
Indian Railways has approved the construction of a four-lane Road Over Bridge (ROB) at Alkapuri in the Vadodara Division of Western Railway. The total project cost is ₹166.5 crore, which will be shared equally between Indian Railways and the State Government. The existing road under bridge (RUB) at the site has a vertical clearance of only about 3.0 metres, causing traffic congestion and operational difficulties due to its limitations.
