Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle met with AIIB President Zou Jiayi in Doha, Qatar, to discuss financing for Nepal's reconstruction. Zou Jiayi pledged support for post-flood rebuilding efforts, noting the significant loss of life and property from recent devastating floods in the Bhotekoshi-Trishuli river system. The AIIB stated that Nepal would receive grant assistance through the 'Project Preparation Special Fund' and could be considered for highly concessional loans.
