Additionally, the Commissioner instructed that unauthorized roadside stalls and pushcarts in Udupi city area be shifted to designated vending zones.

These directives mandate specific operational changes for commercial vehicles operating in the district. The Transport Department must strictly implement the rule for the remaining vehicles, noting that only about half of the required heavy goods vehicles currently possess the necessary speed governors.
