Tessera Defense to Acquire Majority Interest in RT LTA Systems Ltd.

Tessera Defense and Homeland Security Inc. announced it has been granted an option to acquire a majority interest in RT LTA Systems Ltd. RT LTA Systems Ltd. is an Israeli aerospace and security company that manufactures persistent airborne surveillance and communications systems for various applications. The company reported having approximately $15 million in backlog as it enters 2027.

The acquisition involves RT LTA Systems Ltd., which develops tethered aerostat systems used for intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance, border protection, and strategic-site security. These systems have accumulated over six million operational hours worldwide, indicating established market use.
