What happened
The Air Force announced it will eliminate all 10 civilian positions at the China Aerospace Studies Institute starting October 1. An Air Force spokesperson stated the institute’s mission will continue by leveraging military service members, but CASI Director Brendan Mulvaney said the elimination of civilian billets effectively ends the institute. The decision was made by the previous Air University commander and forwarded by AETC.
