European Investment Bank funds energy modernization of Ukrainian university
What happened
The European Investment Bank provided a EUR 1.75 million grant for the energy-efficiency modernization of Building "F" at the National University "Yuri Kondratiuk Poltava Polytechnic" in Poltava, Ukraine. The project, which lasted 20 months, included installing automated heat supply controls and upgrading energy metering systems to reduce energy consumption. The building was also equipped with a shelter for over 400 people to allow classes to continue during air alerts.
