American Samoa FY2027 Budget Under Review with Significant Cuts

The Joint Budget and Appropriations Committee reviewed the proposed Fiscal Year 2027 budget for American Samoa during closed-door deliberations. The committee reviewed revised budget figures submitted by Brett Butler, the Executive Advisor for Finance of Governor Pulaali'i Nikolao Pula's administration. The revisions reportedly included salary reductions for some department heads and title modifications pending their formal confirmation by the Fono.
