What happened
The Islamic Development Bank is supporting water infrastructure projects in Kazakhstan's West Kazakhstan region. These projects include building a new reservoir with a capacity of 28.4 million cubic meters on the Bolshoy Uzen River. The initiative also plans to reconstruct the Bitik reservoir and four main canals, improving water supply to approximately 28,500 hectares of land.
