MWAA Selects daa International for New VIP Terminal at Dulles
What happened
The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority selected daa International to develop, lease, and operate a new 37,000-square-foot VIP passenger terminal at Washington Dulles International Airport. This facility will be the first of its kind in the National Capital Region. The terminal will offer premium services, such as private security screening and dedicated lounges, to passengers flying on any commercial airline. daa International will construct the facility over 30 months and operate it under a 20-year agreement.
Why it matters
The project supports Dulles’ strategy to expand premium passenger services and respond to growing demand for personalized travel experiences. The terminal is part of a larger expansion effort managed by the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority at Dulles. This new facility will provide an additional premium boarding option separate from existing private jet facilities.
The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority is currently managing a massive expansion of Dulles airport, which includes new gates dedicated to United Airlines.
